The bar fridge space is a bit petite.

The hotel is very nicely decorated and with lots of comfortable areas to relax in both inside and out. The room was great and the cleaner. The buffet breakfast was very good. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. It is a very nice place to return after a busy day out.

We tried to order from the A La Carte Menu and on two occasions were given avocados that had gone black in lots of areas. This was not impressive for a four star hotel. We complained on the second occasion as it looked terrible and were given a refund for that course.

The accommodation was clean and comfortable. Staff were very polite and friendly and the food was delicious

I liked the decor and the hotel location has great scenery

The pillows were too fluffed up,uncomfortable on the neck.Was not happy with the food from the restaurant.

The outside of the hotel looks nice. The pillow menu was a nice touch. The guy who carried our bags to our rooms was very pleasant and friendly.

The 'chef' at the omelette station on Saturday morning (15 February 2020) was very hostile and seemed to favour certain guests over others. Guests are supposed to line up for the their food but the 'chef' disregarded this line and served people of the same race as him before others who waited in the line. He also completely ignored me when I was waiting in the line to be served. The lady at reception - Amanda was very rude when I called her from my room to make an enquiry.

Friendly and pleasant staff at reception and at the security gate. Beautiful furnishings and decor. Room service takes too long, had to wait longer than l expected for my meals.

More coordination with our bookings and payments to avoid embarrassing situations

Too many errors with our payments...first they kept asking us to verify payment for breakfast despite paying for this and it took several print outs for correct receipts at checkout

Lovely hotel conveniently located just off the freeway. Whilst our stay was short, we thoroughly enjoyed it. Hotel is super clean, rooms and beds very comfortable, the staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. Would certainly go back.

I really dislike posting negative reviews, but I feel it's important to express our disappointment as it will hopefully help for future. We were booked into one of the most expensive rooms, yet it did not have a bar fridge to keep anything cold and the aircon was not working. We reported this to maintenance several times - my husband owns his own aircon company so he knew what was wrong, but at no point did anyone from Management come speak to us, they kept sending technicians to have a look and make excuses - which was unfair to them. For the price we paid to stay in that room, we expected the aircon to be working, regardless it being a weekend. When providing a service, you work 24/7. My husband was working even tho he was supposed to be supporting me at Midmar. If a customer / client needs assistance, you make a plan. We were eventually offered a fan to use to cool the room down, but by that time we were already annoyed and not enjoying our time there. The restaurant hardly has any vegetarian and/or vegan options available. The previous weekend we stayed at a smaller hotel and their menu was 15% vegan options - the most I have ever seen on a standard menu. Considering the size of the Anew Hitlon hotel and the amount of travellers staying there and passing through, one would think that the restaurant would cater for vegetarians and vegans as well. I had to eat what I could from the buffet because the standard menu had little to nothing for me to select from. I was dying for curry and our Waiter did offer to ask the Chef to make a potato curry for me, but I declined. Please consider having a vegetable and / or vegan curry available on the standard menu, or in the buffet.

Everything! The staff were very helpful, the hotel and facilities were clean, the room was comfortable... We really enjoyed our stay! Definitely coming back...

The new showers are very beautiful.

Room service was slow. Parking at the back while it was raining was a disappointing. A back entrance is required. Also struggled to close the old steel windows which are rather outdated.

Bad service from when we arrived till when we left. Slow service, bad communication skills, if you don't ask for something you will not get it. Room bathroom extractors not working, toilet Flushing mechanism falling out of the wall, dirty bedroom floors, bad and overcooked

The standard room was excellent and spacious and had everything we needed. The staff were all very friendly and attended to any requests we had very quickly. The food was amazing, whether it was from the buffet or off the menu.

The breakfast was really good and the staff catered for our vegetarian needs without fuss. Unfortunately our stay was short but would definitely make it a point to visit again for a longer stay.

On check in the receptionist did not know that we were booked with breakfast. She had to call the reservation centre to clarify that.
